Friday 22nd July 2016
Friday is the day of preview racing – practice starts and practice racing. There are on water displays which are yet to be announced, and a Red Arrows display before the main event. Watching the action from the water is the best way to see the racing, as it is all happening right in front of you. You can hear the official commentary over the radio so you are not missing out on any aspect of the racing.
Saturday 23rd July 2016
Racing starts officially on Saturday. There are on water and aerial displays from 11.00 leading up to the racing at 13.30. Points are added on to the team’s world series score today, with double points being awarded on Sunday. The race course is smaller than in 2015, ensuring that racing will be fast and furious. You will be able to see it all from a yacht on the course edge!
Sunday 24th July 2016
And so to the finale – Sunday’s race is all about double points. Today is really worth winning; a loss today will more than wipe out any advantage of winning on the Saturday.
Where there are high stakes, there are high pressures, and this will be seen out on the course. Expect thrills from the final racing day!
