Northern Child is fully prepared for racing with a full inventory of Kevlar North Sails including three Gradient spinnakers. Northern Child won the Swan trophy at the America's Cup Jubilee in August 2001, she won her class in the Swan European Cup in 1999 and sisterships won their classes in Antigua Week 2000 and ARC 2000. 

Her latest results include:
* Overall Winner cruising class ARC 2005 

* 1st in class and line honours on the ARC 2004

* 3rd in class at the St Maarten Heineken Regatta 2005. 

* 3rd in class and 1st prize for the highest placed Swan yacht at the BVI Spring Regatta 2005

* 3rd in class at Antigua Sailing Week 2005 and the Quin Farara Cup for the highest placed vessel over 20 yrs old in class.

Northern Child participates in Caribbean regattas in the winter (incl. Grenada Sailing Festival, BVIs Spring Regatta, St Maarten Regatta and Antigua Sailing Week) and in European regattas in the summer (incl. Rolex Swan European Regatta, Rolex Fastnet, Skandia Cowes Week, RORC and JOG weekend races, Swan World's Cup, Les Voiles de St Tropez, etc...).
