This delivery cruise from St Tropez to Las Palmas in October is a fantastic opportunity to gain sea miles and experience a comfortable passage cruising down south on board a beautifully maintained and luxurious Swan 51 yacht under professional guidance.

Proposed itinerary

The start of this delivery cruise is from Saint-Tropez, this genuine and mythical village, which is set on the lovely blue water of the Bay of Saint-Tropez and which is most popular for the line of yachts along the quay, and the facing line of terrace cafés.

The first part of the trip is totally weather dependant. The first stopover could be Valencia , The Host City of the 32nd America 's Cup, located on the Spanish Mediterranean coastline with its excellent marina facilities. It could also be one of the Balearic Islands: Palma de Mallorca, the capital city of Spain 's Balearic Islands , offers exquisite sunshine and astounding beaches. Tucked into the beautiful bay of Bahia de Palma , this thriving town is a perfect mixture of the Balearic Islands ' long and unique history and exciting modern culture. Another option would be Ibiza , which combines lively nights and amazing scenario with its numerous beaches, its abundance of hills, cliffs, forests, small villages and stunning architecture.

From there, Northern Child will sail along the Spanish coast, round the Cabo de la Nao, the Cabo de Palos  and the Cabo de Gata into el Costa del Sol with possible stopovers in one of the Spanish ports, incl. Cartagena or Malaga before reaching Gibraltar with its impressive stature, towering isolated above the surrounding countryside. Gibraltar is a beacon which signals the position of the Straits of Gibraltar, the narrow neck which separates Europe from Africa and provides the only link between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea .

The next part of this sailing trip is the 650 miles offshore passage from Gibraltar to Lanzarote, the most easterly of the seven major Canary Islands which lies in the Atlantic Ocean only some 60 miles from the coast of Africa . After a day in the beautiful marina of Rubican, where we will have a chance to take a tour around this very interesting volcanic Island, Northern Child will sail to Las Palmas , the final destination port of this delivery cruise.
