Swan World CUP 2008 - 7th to 14th September 2008

The Swan World's Cup is a biennial event held at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and hosted by the Yacht Club in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. This prestigious event is the flagship for all Swan Regattas and has a firm place on the international yachting calendar. 

In the 2008 Swan World's no fewer than 100 boats are expected. The week's event comprises of 2 days training and five days of racing in a mixture of distance races and the shorter but more hectic windward-leeward type courses. 

With more than 100 Swan yachts taking part, this regatta is extremely prestigious and is a perfect blend of sailing and social activities.  

The fleet will race under the unique Nautor's Swan Rating System to enable the calculation of a final overall winner from the new and classic Swan yachts of varying sizes racing alongside each other. 

Northern Child gives the unique opportunity to join for a week of top class competition combined with glamorous social events ashore. Well known in the sailing community, this event attacts about 1000 of people who come to race and to enjoy the 'Spirit of Swan'
