Christian is a Commercially Endorsed RYA Yachtmaster

Christian has logged over 35,000 nm, including over 10000 nm on Northern Child in the Caribbean, UK and Mediterranean. |
Christian started sailing aged 8 and quickly established himself at National level racing, representing Hampshire Schools sailing team and being National Junior champion in a number of classes. Over the past 15 years, Christian has consistently been at the front of many dinghy racing fleets and has twice won the RS600 Nationals, most recently in 2008. |
Christian moved into yachting over 20 years ago and has cruised and raced many different yachts. Again he achieved much success racing, winning many Solent series and finishing first in class in the Round the Island race many times, with his best result being 4 th overall. |
Prior to purchasing Northern Child in September 2008, Christian had been in IT for 20 years in Sales and Consulting; working for companies like IBM, BT and Orange.

| Lucy has logged over 15,000 nm, including 10000 nm on Northern Child in the Caribbean, UK and Mediterranean. |
Lucy started sailing dinghies at a young age racing around the UK in a variety of boats from Laser to RS800. Lucy's introduction to yachting was racing and cruising extensively on her families J92 around the Solent and South Coast of England. Since then Lucy has sailed on a variety of mono-hull and multi-hull yachts including Maiden which she crewed on a passage back from Dublin to Portsmouth. Lucy has completed her Coastal Skipper practical course and her Yacht Master Theory. |
Lucy has just completed a degree in Earth Science from Imperial College London and is passionate about food and entertaining. |
Lucy has enjoyed cooking since a young age and loves experimenting with new recipes. Lucy has completed an intermediate 5 day cookery course at Ashburton Cookery School, improving her core cookery skills and widening her repituar. Since then Lucy has continued to cook regularly and has hosted dinner parties for friends and also local people. |
